Bloggen macht Spass!
- You will be expected to make two (2) entries per blog topic. One of these entries will be your own initial reaction/response to the blog topic for one week. Your second entry (a comment) will be in response to a classmate's entry the following week. Therefore, your second entry will begin with the name of the person to whom you are writing in ALL CAPS!
- Each entry will be written in complete German sentences with proper vocabulary, spelling and grammar (including umlauts). The initial entry will have at least ten good German quality sentences unless otherwise stated. The comment should be at least two good German quality sentences.
- If there is even a hint of suspicion in Frau's mind that you used a translator, you will receive a zero for that particular blog. There will be some blogs that will be held until the deadline in order to prevent copying.
When do I need to do a blog for German?
We will blog at least once a month. You will need to pay attention in class to see when a blog is up. You will have one week to respond to the initial blog response and then the following week will be comments. Each blog is around 5-10 sentences and each comment should be 2 sentences.
Grading for Blogs
These blogs will be due on Mondays at 9pm, Sundays for extra credit. If you forget to do the blog, you will have until Tuesday at 5pm to complete it, but you will lose points because it is late.
Each blog entry will be worth 20 points. Each catagory (grammar, vocabulary, length, spelling) is worth 5 points. Your sentences should be written for the level German you are currently taking. Your comments are also worth 5 points focusing on length (2 sentences), grammar (2) and content (1). When you get your blog slip returned to you the following highlights each represent something different. If you have any questions regarding what you did wrong, please feel free to ask me.
Green = grammar Red = doesn't belong Blue = word order Yellow = spelling
